Muhlhausen, Yomtov Lipmann (Lipmann, Yomtov ben Solomon; Yomtov Lipmann)

(fl. 14th-15th cent)
Bohemian scholar, philosopher, kabbalist and polemicist. He lived in Prague, where he partici-pated in a disputation with the apostate Peter (Pesah) who alleged that the Jews blasphemed Christian beliefs. Eighty Jews were martyred as a consequence, but Muhlhausen was saved. His Sepher Nitzahon contains a depiction of this disputation.
